Last night was another great Friday Night Notes concert series at Oh Corn! Arepas. Maurizio Russomanno played a great set, full of storytelling, crowd-pleasing covers, and some well-chosen original songs, including “Simple Things” and “Breathe.” He had a friend and collaborator, Geri, come up and sing a song she wrote for her granddaughter, called “Hang On, Baby“, and took a few requests from the crowd. The weather was cooperative, and Jose and Belkis were fantastic hosts as always … welcoming and supportive of local music and community. Delicious food, fabulous hosts, and a great concert in a hidden oasis on the Hudson made for a fantastic early fall evening in Troy!
