Holiday House Event at Robert H. Gibson Technical School to Celebrate the Season and Support Local Community
WHAT: Questar III BOCES’ Robert H. Gibson Technical School SkillsUSA Chapter will host “Holiday House,” a festive community event that will showcase the school’s programs while bringing the local community together to celebrate
the season and will feature:
- A special holiday display featuring “Schoolville” – a Whoville-inspired
creation designed by Questar III students - A “Holidays Around the World” room, where visitors can learn about
holiday traditions from different cultures and countries - Local fire departments decorating trucks in festive holiday themes
- Dirt track race teams showcasing their race cars and interacting with
attendees - A cookie-making station hosted by the school’s culinary class
- Hot cocoa and treats generously donated by Stewart’s Shops
- Raffle baskets and much more!
WHEN: Friday, December 13, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
WHERE: Robert H. Gibson Technical School, 35 Colleen Road, Troy, N.Y. 12180
WHY: Holiday House is designed to engage community members of all ages in a fun, festive atmosphere, offering a variety of holiday-themed activities and demonstrations. Attendees will have the chance to explore the diverse programs offered at Robert H. Gibson Technical School, including hands-on demonstrations, educational stations, and interactive displays.
In addition, Holiday House is designed to give back to the community. Half of the suggested $5 per person proceeds from the event will be donated to local volunteer fire departments, while the other half will benefit the
SkillsUSA chapter fund, helping to offset the costs of the chapter’s activities throughout the year. Participation is encouraged with a suggested donation of $5; however, all are welcome to attend regardless of their ability to contribute.
