On Friday, November 3rd at Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs, 3 bands united for a night of reunions and a night of goodbyes. Wild Adriatic, the headliner, had been on hiatus for several years, and Chestnut Grove is planning their own hiatus — last night was their last performance. However, don’t worry, they promised us at the show that they would be back.
Somehow, several performers including Mateo Vosganian on drums, Mike Oehman on sax, and Rish Derbyshire on bass played with all three bands. I barely had the energy to fight the almost sold-out crowd, I can’t imagine the stamina it must take to play for several hours with only very short breaks.
