Shawn Colvin, KT Tunstall and Lyle Lovett, Lisa Loeb to Perform at Universal Preservation Hall in Separate Co-Headlining Performances

SARATOGA SPRINGS (March 8) – Universal Preservation Hall announces two upcoming shows, each featuring GRAMMY™ Award-winning artists coming together to play as co-headliners. Shawn Colvin and KT Tunstall will be coming to the Great Hall 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 26. In the 30 years since the release of her debut album, Colvin has won three GRAMMY™ Awards, released 13 albums, written a critically acclaimed memoir, maintained a non-stop national and international touring schedule, appeared on countless television and radio programs, had her songs featured in major motion pictures and created a remarkable canon of work. As a storyteller, Colvin is both keen and warm-hearted, leavening even the toughest tales with tenderness, empathy and a searing sense of humor.

Tunstall is a GRAMMY™-nominated Scottish musician who entered the music scene with her multi-platinum debut album in 2004, “Eye to the Telescope,” which included hits “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” and “Suddenly I See.” Tunstall is a captivating and dynamic must-see performer, as well as a songwriter with a singular knack for balancing introspective folk and propulsive rock.

Performing in Saratoga Springs 7:30 p.m. May 2, is Lyle Lovett and Lisa Loeb. A singer, composer and actor, four-time GRAMMY™ Award-winner Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers. Since his self-titled debut in 1986, Lyle Lovett has evolved into one of music’s most vibrant and iconic performers.

Loeb is a GRAMMY ™Award-winning singer-songwriter, touring musician and philanthropist who started her career with the platinum-selling hit song “Stay (I Missed You).” A trailblazing independent artist, Loeb was the first pop musician to have a Number 1 single while not signed to a recording contract. She followed that remarkable feat with several hit singles and six albums, two of which were certified gold. Loeb recently released her 15th album, “A Simple Trick To Happiness,” and followed the release of this album with the debut of her new musical, “Together Apart,” which she co-wrote and co-produced with over 100 of her fellow Brown University alums to raise money for The Actors Fund. Loeb is also well known to parents and kids for her five children’s albums and two illustrated children’s books with music.
