A celebrated musical juggernaut for four decades, thrilling audiences from Tasmania in the South Pacific to Svalbard in the Artic Circle, Windsor Castle to Carnegie Hall, the all-singing, all-plucking Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain continues to break the mould with a programme of new tunes as well as old classics.
A concert by the Ukulele Orchestra is an unforgettable experience. A witty, quirky, irreverent, joyful, foot-stomping obituary of rock & roll and melodious light entertainment, all played on the ‘bonsai guitar’. Add to this a menagerie of voices, eccentric humour and a fusion of post-punk energy meets afternoon tea, and a wonderful night of entertainment is guaranteed.

A faerie-tale fusion of dark cabaret, gothic polka and post-punk music, Dust Bowl Faeries are a dark-carnival band from the New York Hudson Valley. The band’s eclectic repertoire of songs draw inspiration from circus songs, murder ballads and Eastern European folk music. Ryder & Hazel are joined by musicians Rubi LaRue, Jon B. Woodin, Liz LoGiudice & Andrew Stein.
Novus Cantus
Novus Cantus is a World Rock Fusion band of two brothers out of New York who have been performing and recording together since 2010. Noted for their eclectic sound and inspiring live performances, the brothers have recently performed at venues and festivals throughout New York State, most notably Caffe Lena, Shrine World Music Venue, Silvana, Howland Performing Arts Center, Union Theological Seminary, Sing in the Streets Saratoga, Hudson Music Festival, and many more!

Not a Grateful Dead tribute, but a tribute to Jerry Garcia’s beloved other band, The Jerry Garcia Band, which toured in between Grateful Dead tours, and played original songs as well as great covers from many genres, including rock, Motown, gospel, bluegrass and more.

Monkey and the Crowbar have been playing for years in the Mohawk Valley and Capital Region. Their acoustic vibe of originals and Grateful Dead adjacent tunes makes for a hoot of a time. Fronted by Todd Herringshaw(guitar, vocals), band members Tree Casullo(percussion, vocals), Joe Sinchak(fiddle, mandolin, vocals) and Sharon Charles(bass) give an old-timey spin to tunes we all know and love.
Dirtwire: The Four Directions Tour with Will Evans, Lark Hall, Albany, 7:30pm
Dirtwire stands poised between ancient Mother Earth and modern technology, a blend of ethnomusicology and the psychedelic trance state, gut-bucket delta blues and what the band variously dubs “back-porch space cowboy blues, swamptronica, and electro-twang.” It’s a sound informed by Dirtwire’s travels and performances around the globe, where East meets West and North joins South.
