Neon Avenue, Putnam Place, Saratoga Springs, 9pm-1am
Born from the depths of the 2020 Pandemic, this group of Capital Region musicians came together for what felt like necessity. With the stalling of the music industry, a creative outlet was needed for these 5 individuals. What was first a casual get together playing some dead tunes quickly escalated into a singular goal of putting together a live stream. Something special happened during these early sessions and a “one-and-done” livestream turned into something much more.

Beethoven, Ravel, and Schumann, SPAC, Saratoga Springs, 3pm
Beethoven’s G-minor Cello Sonata is a work of his youth, but in its scope and expressive range it foreshadows many of his great works to come. Ravel dedicated his Sonata for Violin and Cello to the memory of Claude Debussy, incorporating stylistic elements from this late pioneer of French music. Despite calling for only two instruments, the piece creates vast sonic textures that evoke a much larger ensemble. All three musicians join forces for a Schumann piano trio that epitomizes the German Romantic style.
