The kids (boys too) have solved the problem of being made to sit down during rock ‘n’ roll shows – they do the jerk. Then jerk looks as if one were trying to separate the head and neck from the rest of the spine.

But the undeniable musical and conceptual highlight of the two-hour concert was a mid-show, sit-down, unplugged session in which Yankovic and the boys offered up acoustic, lounge-like, radically reworked interpretations of such Weird Al hits as “Eat It,” “I Lost On Jeopardy,” “I Love Rocky Road” and a stunning “Like a Surgeon.”

Ohzhe’s set ended with him hollering backstage to KRS-One, who was talking with fans behind the stage, asking if he wanted him to keep performing. This prompted KRS to join him on stage for an impromptu freestyle collaboration, illustrating why The Source called KRS “the greatest live emcee ever.”

Most of the music could be enjoyed on many levels. One is pleasant background music. Two as music that requires a serious listen. The exception was a 1999 composition known as “Zootoo”; it featured an usual technique by Melanie of blowing the flute through her teeth, creating a very percussive sound.
