Bacchanalia Arts & Music Festival: This Weekend (Friday 09/30, Saturday 10/1 and Sunday 10/2) in Troy, NY

Written by on September 26, 2022

A brand new music and art festival is making it’s way to the Collar City. This weekend Friday 09/30, Saturday 10/01 and Sunday 10/02, over ten venues in Downtown Troy will be taken over with live music. The festival is known as Bacchanalia. Sure it’s easy to say but hard to spell and the curiosity in me needed to know the origin of the word. According to Wikipedia “The Bacchanalia were unofficial, privately funded popular Roman festivals of Bacchus, based on various ecstatic elements of the Greek Dionysia. They were almost certainly associated with Rome’s native cult of Liber, and probably arrived in Rome itself around 200 BC.” The dictionary simply states Bacchanalia: “drunken revelry.” Either way Bacchanalia is defined it sure sounds like fun!
There will also be national headliners on an outdoor stage, food trucks, pop-ups, vendors and art exhibits. RadioRadioX is a proud sponsor of Bacchanalia and if you want to say hi to us we’ll be hanging out at Slidin’ Dirty and El Dorado all weekend.
Each festival ticket comes with a wristband that gets you into all events for the entire three day festival! Come and go freely between any venue and catch artists in all of the city’s amazing entertainment spaces. Tickets for individual events can also be purchased at the door of each event – availability will be limited and wristband holders will receive priority access. Prices for tickets sold at the door will vary.
