Road dispatch: July 2023 – Undefeated (Lowville, NY)

Hello and welcome! Undefeated from upstate NY (yep, still haven’t moved! 🙂 )

July is an on-the-road-again month. (We’ve been known to crank up Willie Nelson and sing at the top of our lungs, in case you’ve wondered.) We hit New York, Indiana, Illinois, and Tennessee. The last two weeks we head down to Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas. Texas is the farthest we have played, so that’s super exciting.

Meredith’s favorite state is Oklahoma – don’t ask me why. She can’t wait to show Christian and I around. We’re not looking forward to the heat – being practically southern Canadians (have you ever located Lowville on a map?) They say it’s not humid but it’s still going to be HOT! Christian was born with a love and dependence on cold weather, we don’t know if he’ll make it. Keep an eye out for drummer auditions. (jk, no one could replace Christian)

We play as many as six days out of the week. It’s exhilarating and exhausting at the same time. #StrengthForTheJourney

This was our first run being completely on our own (let’s hear it for the young people! Haha). The year before (our first tour!) we were with the Extreme Tour out of Nashville. We learned HOW to tour, run a tight stage etc. This organization brings music and hope to less fortunate communities. It really opened our eyes to how people live – we are grateful for that experience and compassion gained. Thank you, Ted, Sharon, Damon, Jason, and Paul.
