Banned from Utopia to Appear at the Strand Theatre on July 5th

On Friday July 5, 2024 @ 8:00pm, the Strand Theatre presents “The I Love Zappa Tour” featuring Banned from Utopia with Zappa Alumni!

Banned from Utopia is the Zappa tribute act featuring the most Alumni of his band: Robert Martin, Ray White, and Scott Thunes.

Joining them are Robbie “Seahag” Mangano (Project/Object, The Grandmothers), Jamie Kime (Zappa Plays Zappa), and Joel Taylor (The Al Dimeola Band).

Banned From Utopia plays some of Zappa’s trickiest compositions while always keeping the fun and chaotic nature of Zappa live shows. The band was formed in 1994 to keep the true spirit of Frank Zappa’s music alive. Covering a variety of Zappa songs, the ensemble lovingly recreates the eclectic virtuoso approach of their former band leader.
