Week Thirty-Six: Jesse Sample’s Freak of the Week “Know It All”
Written by Staff on September 4, 2024
Jesse Sample’s Freak of the Week airs every WEDNESDAY at 8pm Eastern ONLY on RadioRadioX.com !
This is Jesse Sample. Do you have a person in your life who pretends to know everything? Maybe it’s a friend or close family member. In moments of clarity, we can observe them engaged in their sad little quest and consciously choose to love them. And that’s a good thing. People are more important than their beliefs about the world.
Sometimes, I can get caught in my own loop. I think that my take on things is the right one, strictly because it’s my take. That thinking is poisonous candy. When I come out of my self-righteous fog, I see my limited perspective for just what it is: Limited. Nobody knows it all. We can’t know what we don’t know. And maybe with that awareness, learning is possible. But even if that weren’t true, I still feel %100 better.
There are some people I know, and love, who unflinchingly think that their perspective is the right one and they would rather die than allow for the possibility that they are not correct. Even if they had it %100 right, that need stands over them as a cruel master.
I’d rather they call me a fool while I enjoy my freedom.
