Acclaimed British cellist Steven Isserlis regularly performs with the world’s leading orchestras. Last week, Troy Chromatic Concerts brought him in to perform a recital at Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, accompanied by noted Canadian pianist Connie Shih.
The program consisted of:
BEETHOVEN: Cello Sonata in G minor, Op. 5, No. 2
MARTINŮ: Cello Sonata No. 1
BOULANGER: Three Pieces for cello and piano
GRIEG: Sonata for cello and piano in A minor, Op. 36
and was wrapped up with an encore lullaby.
