Recap: Behind the Scream with David Arquette Proctors 10/30/2026
By: Rob Smittix
Behind the Scream with David Arquette was the absolute perfect way to kickoff the Halloween weekend. I actually had the privilege to interview Mr. Arquette just before the event, so I was extra excited to attend. READ THE INTERVIEW HERE!
This was the 30th Anniversary of the original Scream movie and I haven’t seen the film in years. I am glad I haven’t watched it recently because the jump-scares were more effective that way. There were a lot of scenes that I totally forgot about… like the fact that Drew Barrymore was killed off within the first 15 minutes of the movie.
Deputy Dewey Riley, David Arquette’s character in Scream was cheered for almost every time he was on the big screen. After the movie ended, Arquette came out on stage with a moderator and began chatting with the audience. Many of the questions answered were selected from the audience.
It was very interesting to get background stories that we never would have known about otherwise. Arquette also took a turn and talked about his wrestling adventures which these stories were completely nuts. It was a cool feeling being in that room on Halloween Eve with one of the stars of one of the biggest horror franchises of our time.
If you weren’t there, I highly recommend seeing this tour if it ever happens again. I am a big fan of these types of events and Standing Ovations Live has quite a few of these types of screenings to choose from. Check out the roster here: standingovationslive.com
Proctors in Schenectady will also have the cast of Stand By Me coming January 9th, so get your tickets now. CLICK HERE!
