Skeeter Creek Brings Big Country Energy to Rock the Block in Cohoes
From rocking on the river to rocking the block, Skeeter Creek doesn’t miss a beat. The high-energy country-rock band lit up Canal Plaza in Cohoes on June 26th as part of the city’s Rock the Block concert series, just a day after electrifying Troy’s Rockin’ on the River crowd.
Known for their crowd-pleasing mix of modern country with a rock edge, Skeeter Creek brought both soul and swagger to the stage. From heartfelt ballads to boot-stompin’ anthems, they had the crowd singing, swaying, and probably ignoring a few texts from their exes.
Lead vocals soared while the band flexed serious musical chops across guitars, drums, and keys, including a keytar that could probably file for its own tax ID. The chemistry was tight, the harmonies smoother than a Tennessee whiskey pour, and the vibe? Pure summer celebration.
The crowd at Canal Plaza sang, danced, and raised their drinks to the summer soundtrack they didn’t know they needed. If you missed Skeeter Creek this time, do yourself a favor and catch them at their next stop. Your boots and your soul will thank you.
