The last two songs of the night were “Jump” and “When It’s Love.” Pat Monahan came back out to sing the “nah part,” but this time he was also joined by Reo Speedwagon’s lead singer Kevin Cronin. Train with REO are performing at SPAC tonight.

30 years ago: Ani DiFranco @ Falcon Ridge Folk Festival

DiFranco was probably the star of the weekend, ratcheting up the energy level in numerous song-swap sessions and workshops as well as in her stunning solo appearance Saturday night on the Main Stage, which packed the power and drama of aren rock. DiFranco’s songs and performance can be so dynamic as to push the laws of physics to its limit – physical and emotional mass moving so fast it threatens to metamorphose into pure energy.
