Summer Anthem Reverie: Goo Goo Dolls and Dashboard Confessional at SPAC

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – On July 30, 2025, Dashboard Confessional and the Goo Goo Dolls teamed up at SPAC for a night of honest lyrics and rock-and-roll sing-alongs you won’t forget. Chris Carrabba kicked things off with just his guitar and that unmistakable voice, running through “Hands Down,” “Screaming Infidelities,” and a couple of new tracks that felt right at home alongside the fan favorites. The crowd was quiet one moment and full-throated the next, every word bleeding straight from the stage into the open sky.

When the Goo Goo Dolls hit their first chords, the energy shifted. They opened with “Slide,” built up to that spine-tingling “Iris” chorus, then slipped in fresh songs from their upcoming album. Between John Rzeznik’s guitar riffs and those soaring melodies, you could feel why these songs have stuck around for decades. By the time they closed out, half the audience was on their feet, swaying and singing as one.

It was a summer night where the songs mattered more than the stage lights—a reminder that sometimes the best moments happen when a lyric hits you right in the chest. If you missed SPAC, catch them on the rest of the Summer Anthem Tour 2025.
