Matty D, The Turf Turds (I mean the Lawn Sausages) Take Over Seven Bistro

Last Saturday night at Seven Bistro in Clifton Park felt less like a concert and more like stepping into a rock-n-roll sitcom: loud, unpredictable, and absolutely unforgettable.

The opener, Matty D, set the tone with a smooth acoustic set stacked with ‘90s gems. His delivery was warm and effortless, the kind that makes a room stop and pay attention. He’s the sort of performer you could listen to all night, though he’s also the guy you pray doesn’t show up ahead of you at karaoke … because following him is a losing game.

After the crooning came chaos. Billed as the Turf Turds, a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the infamous Lawn Sausages, the night’s headliner didn’t just parody; they actually were the Lawn Sausages. And in true Sausage fashion, subtlety wasn’t invited.

At one point, a female crowd member found herself the center of attention, serenaded with lyrics I’m not entirely sure I can legally type here. Let’s just say they were unforgettable, a little shocking, and entirely in line with the Sausages’ legacy. Meanwhile, multiple appearances by a parrot (yes, an actual parrot) stole scenes and reminded everyone that unpredictability is part of the show’s DNA.

For all the antics, the music itself was thunderous. Guitars snarled, drums boomed, and choruses stuck like gum on a shoe. The Lawn Sausages have always thrived on being unapologetically rowdy, boisterous, and catchy, and Saturday night proved they haven’t lost an ounce of their bite.

And while the band’s name might lead you to brace for the worst, the only mess to clean up came courtesy of the Turf Turds gag. Thankfully, the Lawn Sausages left the stage as clean as they found it.

The crowd walked out entertained, slightly dazed, and definitely wanting more. And if that wasn’t enough, keep your eyes peeled, there’s some special behind-the-scenes footage in the works that promises to be just as wild as the show itself.
