COHOES, N.Y. – October 11, 2025 – Back In Black lit up the Cohoes Music Hall with a set so tight it could have been mistaken for the real thing. The AC/DC tribute band didn’t just play the hits – they embodied them. Every riff, every scream, every stomp felt like a love letter to rock’s rawest edge.

Danny Molkenthin, who dressed in full Angus Young regalia, tore through solos with precision and flair, channeling Angus Young in full tilt. His duckwalks and gritty showmanship were relentless, like a man possessed. He didn’t just stay on stage – he made the entire venue his playground. Danny weaved through the bottom floor, guitar blazing, and even stopped for a selfie with a patron before being escorted up to the balcony. There, he played to the seated fans like they were front row, then leaned over the railing, still shredding, before descending back to the main floor.

And then came the floor show. Danny didn’t just play to the crowd – he played through it. With his guitar slung low, he wove his way down through the aisles, a blur of black shorts and high tops, duckwalking between the rows like a man possessed. When he hit the hardwood just before the stage steps, it was all motion and momentum. He spun in tight, fevered circles, sweat flying, fingers a blur on the fretboard. The lights caught the gleam of his guitar and the sheen on his brow. For a moment, it felt like the floor itself was pulsing with the beat. Then he was gone – up the stairs and back on stage – never missing a note. It was a full-body exorcism of rock and roll.

Tony Sitler’s vocals nailed that razor-wire tone between Bon Scott and Brian Johnson, while Bobby Sitler on guitar as Malcolm Young, Miguel Goncalves on bass as Cliff Williams, and 22-year-old newcomer Mike Luciuk on drums as Phil Rudd locked in behind him with thunderous rhythm and pulse. Musically, they didn’t miss. The setlist was a greatest hits barrage: “Thunderstruck,” “Night Prowler,” “Back in Black,” “Shoot to Thrill,” “Highway to Hell,” and, adding a jolt of authenticity and fun, a bagpipe on “It’s a Long Way to the Top.”

Back In Black didn’t just play AC/DC; they reminded us of what it feels like to be part of something electric.
