Flea
Flea, iconic bassist for Red Hot Chili Pepper, has his first full length solo album coming out next year by NoneSuch. He’s drawn the pick of the litter of contemporary music, with the likes of Anna Butterss, Jeff Parker, Deantoni Parks, Maurio Refosco, Rickey Washington, Vikram Devasthali, vocalist Chris Warren and saxophonist Josh Johnson.
Flea had this to say: “yearning for a place beyond, a place of love, for me to speak my mind and be myself. I’m always just trying to be myself. I don’t care about the act of politics. I think there is a much more transcendent place above it where there’s discourse to be had that can actually help humanity, and actually help us all to live harmoniously and productively in a way that’s healthy for the world. There’s a place where we meet, and it’s love.”

Lily Allan
To make the most impact possible, artist Lily Allen is releasing her “West End Girl” packaged as a butt plug with the album on an incorporated USB drive. Preorders began yesterday. The idea for the butt plug traces to Allen’s song, ”P***y Palace.” Allen’s ex-husband is Stranger Things’ David Harbour, and he isn’t happy with the product or the song it was allegedly based on his secret stash.
