Shannon Tehya and the Troupe – Single Release – Lost and Found
Written by Staff on April 3, 2026
Shannon Tehya and the Troupe performed in celebration of the release of their new single “Human.” I was early as always, so I heard a few songs before my Irish goodbye. Shannon Tehya and the Troupe employ novelty in their sound, and in the way they promote themselves, with ideas that are designed to bring people together and engage them. This event didn’t disappoint.
They had a silent auction. I think it was a silent auction. There was no fast talker there. And one thing that I thought was cool was that Shannon had people sign her flyer, instead of her signing fliers. That was pretty nifty.
As I said, I was able to catch a couple of songs, and they really hit hard and hit sharp when it’s the right time to do it, and otherwise they lay out this very chill, clear, melodious space. And Shannon commands vocally and between songs she’s out there, engaging. It goes even beyond a novel promotional thing into a real community building technique which just so happens to be good promotion.
It was a good time. Next time Shannon and the Troupe play, prepare to engage.
