“Many wonders await audiences in this gorgeously imaginative Broadway musical.” – The New York Times
The critically acclaimed bestselling novel comes to “thrilling, dazzling” life (Time Out New York) in a unique, spectacle-filled new musical! Hailed as a Critic’s Pick, The New York Times calls it “stunning, emotional, heart-filled and gorgeously imaginative.”
After losing what matters most, a young man jumps a moving train unsure of where the road will take him and finds a new home with the remarkable crew of a traveling circus, and a life—and love—beyond his wildest dreams. Seen through the eyes of his older self, his adventure becomes a poignant reminder that if you choose the ride, life can begin again at any age.
Gimme Gimme Disco, Empire Underground, Albany, 8:30pm
ALT! The Party, Empire Live, Albany, 8pm
Cry Baby, Cohoes Music Hall, Cohoes, 7:30pm
Polio shots. Prom queens. And a rebel with a rockabilly heart.
Good girls want him. Bad girls want to be him. And Baltimore’s about to blow its square little lid. In this razor-sharp, rockabilly musical satire, Wade “Cry-Baby” Walker leads a gang of tattooed outcasts, orphan punks, and delinquent weirdos in a war against clean-cut 1950’s conformity. The crime? Loving too loud. Dancing too dirty. And standing up to the man. From the twisted minds of John Waters and the creators of Hairspray, CRY-BABY: THE MUSICAL is a trashy, tuneful takedown of 1950s repression—with rockabilly guitars, chain-link fences, and girls with switchblades. Don’t bring your parents. Or do. Whatever makes ‘em squirm.
The Broken Hearted, Rustic Barn Pub, Troy, 8pm
The BrokenHearted takes you on a musical journey of the music of Tom Petty. Don’t miss your chance to see them live at Rustic Barn Pub in Troy, NY!
lespecial: Tentacle Difficulties Tour w/ Peak, Putnam Place, Saratoga, 8:30pm
lespecial is redefining the term “power trio”. The multi-instrumentalists from Connecticut continue to push the boundaries of what a three-piece band is capable of both live and in the studio ahead of their latest album, “Odd Times”. The band’s signature blend of “heavy future groove” combines headbanging metal riffage and surgical rhythmic precision with bone shaking 808s, sub synths and ethereal vocal stylings for a dance floor that welcomes moshing, dancing and hip swaying alike. Listeners are taken on ajourney to the musical netherworld through esoteric soundscapes punctuated by raw, primal power.
Natalie Cressman & Ian Faquini, Caffe Lena, Saratoga, 9pm-10pm
Describing Natalie Cressman and Ian Faquini as a duo is accurate—but incomplete. Together, they create a richly expressive musical world that blends jazz, Brazilian song, impressionistic harmony, and sophisticated pop songwriting into something truly singular.
Cressman is a world class trombonist and vocalist whose career began early. At eighteen, she moved to New York City to attend the Manhattan School of Music, studying with Luis Bonilla, Garry Dial, Laurie Frink, and Wycliffe Gordon.
In 2010, she was recruited by Trey Anastasio for his touring band, he called her “the rarest of musicians.”

Hasan Hates Ronny | Ronny Hates Hasan, The Palace Theater, , Albany, 7pm
During these divided times, many people believe that open dialogue and discourse are the only tools to mend a wounded nation. Comedians Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng believe the opposite: Hatred is the answer.
This is not one of those tours where two friends co-headline a show so they can go on vacation together. Ronny and Hasan despise one another. And for one night only, in 19 cities, they will air their grievances -onstage, at the same time – about America, each other, and each other’s entire family trees – for a paying audience.

Matt Griffin Album Release with opener Jimi Woodul, Caffe Lena, Saratoga, 7pm-9pm
Griff is a project led by Matt Griffin that weaves together the porous edges of DIY indie, folk, country, jazz, and improvised music into a single, searching practice. Rooted in collaboration and experimentation the project treats genre as a shared language, one shaped as much by process and place as by sound.
The self-released album Effortless Motion was recorded at home using a hybrid of digital and analog, resulting in recordings that feel intimate without leaning fully into lo-fi aesthetics or over-polished pop. The project lingers on the texture of everyday life in the United States: work, aging, restlessness, the slow effort of moving forward and the uplifting joy of being a new father.
