This is Jesse Sample. Deep Relationships aren’t easy after a certain point. Perhaps it’s a sunny day and you’re at a get together at friend’s place and you see someone attractive walk in through the door. We, in that very moment, gain all the powers of a great fiction writer. They are who we want them to be, and we know so little about them that we have no way of knowing how delusional we are.

You get around to talking and your infatuation mushrooms and perhaps you exchange phone numbers. You drive home feeling like a million dollars and later that week you go on your first date. And maybe for the next few weeks you walk on air.

Perhaps you fast forward the video six months. You are now in a relationship with this person. Things that used to seem cute are annoying.  Maybe they have pockets of crazy and go against your sensibilities at times. And if you’re being honest with yourself, you’ll also have to admit that you came with some wacky wiring too and have some significant limitations in any relationship, not just this one. The question is “what do you do?”

The answer, “Your best. You do your best.”
