GLENS FALLS, NY– Andy O’Rourke is now a new author with the release of his book, My Disability Doesn’t Define Me:My Roadmap. His book is an autobiographical account of his life’s journey with insight on his successes, failures, and fortitude to keep moving forward.

O’Rourke commented, “Since the book’s announcement last month, I have journeyed through the processes of editing and printing, gone down memory lane and have learned that I have more patience than I thought. I appreciate my family and friends even more. They have been behind the scenes, listening and supporting me through my fears and frustrations with humor and positive energy.”
Andy’s book is heartfelt and filled with inspirational storytelling. You will definitely need a bookmark to keep your place while you ponder a page. There are passages that will bring tears to your eyes. O’Rourke also challenges each reader in each chapter to question, review, revise or initialize their own roadmap and add it to their daily life.
O’Rourke remarks, “It’s exciting to hear the word author and my name attached to it. This book is a new creative format for me and I hope everyone will be inspired by it. It still feels weird that I have written my autobiography at 26 but I want to help make the world a better place, for everyone of all abilities; so I hope my book and roadmap is a journey that can bring some joy to other people. I have handled my challenges and will continue to do so. Positivity and happiness are great motivators.”
Andy O’Rourke’s paperback book, My Disability Doesn’t Define Me: My Roadmap, from the publisher BookBaby, was released Tuesday, September 1, and is available here.
