I have reservations about sharing this, as it was such a cool experience, and I want to keep it that way, however, these incredible artists deserve some respect and attention — there are strict rules about noise in any case. ‘Welcome to one of Albany’s hidden gems, the Spin Jam.

Tha bad news is, I happened to catch the last one of the season. The good news is, they start back up as soon as it gets warm again, so we all have something to look forward to. I have personally made some plans with the artists so I am sure Radioradiox will allow me to share what we get.

I was completely experimenting on this night. I knew what my setting needed to be, sort of, but that was about it. I had never photographed anything like this before.

All I can say is that I almost never feel comfortable, but I did in that space. They hold it every Tuesday night at Jennings Landing. You can bring hand drums and acoustic instruments only. Also, any and all spin, fire, poi-type toys that you may want to work with a little. We will let you know when the events start back up next season.
