Pink Floyd

Many famous bands have sold their catalog and likenesses, like KISS and Queen recently, but now it’s Pink Floyd that has done it. They’ve sold their entire catalog, plus the band name and likeness, to SONY for $400 million dollars. This means that SONY could have a holographic tour of the band if it wanted, or put a new Pink Floyd album out with nw players.

This comes after years of infighting between bandmates David Gilmour and Roger Waters. Gilmour welcomed the opportunity to get out of the “mud bath.”

Pink Floyd still retains the publishing rights.

Oasis

Oasis is returning to touring with the first North American tour in 16 years. They’ve also added dates in Toronto, Los Angeles, East Rutherford, and two cities in Mexico. They It begins on July 4th, 2025 and is being supported by Cage The Elephant. Tickets go on sale Saturday, as the pre-sale has ended. The band says that they wont use dynamic pricing, which led to a great deal of trouble for them in the UK and Ireland.

They also promised more continents, and Liam Gallagher mentioned a new album.

Gang of Four

Post-punk band Gang of Four will be calling an end to its music performances with a Farewell tour in 2025. They plan on playing the classic 1979 album, Entertainment! Every night of the show, along with a selection of deep cuts and fan favorites.

The tour will begin on April 20th in Boston then go through the US and Canada, concluding the tour in San Diego on May 29th.

“2025 will be the 45th anniversary of the release of Entertainment! in the US and will be our final year as a band. It’s been wonderful, but all things must end,” Gang of Four wrote in a statement. “We want to go out with a bang and celebrate with our fans and friends. So, on what will be our last US tour, we’ll play two sets at each show: ‘Entertainment!” from start to finish in the first, and the best of the rest in the second. Come and join in, it’ll be a blast!”
