Week Forty-Seven: Jesse Sample’s Freak of the Week “Like You, Anymore”

This is Jesse Sample. We all have an inner dialogue. We reflect upon our situation, we make decisions, we daydream, and we talk to ourselves. We can guess what peoples’ inner worlds are like, but we can never truly know. We do our best to communicate extremely subjective things and, in the end, we take a leap of faith.

What we choose to let out into the universe is up to us. We can frame our expressions and try to send the world a relatable image. It seems that the day-to-day people that we encounter appreciate a degree of normalcy. But internally, we are far from normal. Where is the balance?

That is something we all face. Nobody knows the answer for you. What is better? To wear your heart on your sleeve and to be all out there or to go play chess in your head and only express when its necessary. Both approaches have their upsides and downsides.
