Caffè Lena is thrilled to welcome Jenny Owen Youngs, a powerhouse songwriter and artist whose journey has taken her from crafting chart-topping hits for others to rediscovering her own voice in the stunning new album, Avalanche. After a decade of co-writing smash singles like Panic! At The Disco’s five-times platinum “High Hopes” and Pitbull’s “Bad Man,” Jenny returns to the stage with her first full-length solo album in ten years—an achingly beautiful exploration of loss, resilience, and self-discovery.

The Bright Series is made possible by a generous gift from Kevin & Claudia Bright.

The Egg Presents: 10,000 Maniacs, The Egg, Albany, 8pm

Celebrating their 40th Anniversary, 10,000 Maniacs has a lot in common with Jamestown, New York, the city that spawned them back in 1981. Both are honest and hardworking, a step outside the mainstream, and both possess a bit of magic. “It’s a city of blue-collar poetry,” says keyboardist Dennis Drew. “And that’s what we’re about, real-life stories. We’re a family, we do real work and we keep moving forward.”

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Taste-A-Long, Proctors Theatre, Schenectady

TASTE-ALONG the WONKA way!

Step into a world of pure imagination with a one-of-a-kind movie experience that’s as sweet as it sounds! Watch the beloved childhood classic Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory while snacking on taste-along bites of candy perfectly timed to the film. From chocolate bars to fizzy favorites, you’ll savor every magical moment as you eat alongside Charlie and his friends. When they take a bite, so do you! Fun for the whole family, this whimsical adventure will satisfy your inner kid and your sweet tooth. Don’t miss this golden ticket to delicious fun!

Antonio, Or What I Would, Universal Preservation Hall, Saratoga Springs

“Antonio, or What I Would” takes a firmly gay stance on Shakespeare’s favorite pirate. It’s the closing performance of a somewhat successful outdoor production of “Twelfth Night,” and the actor playing Antonio finds himself asking, “What happened here?” as the queerness of both his character and his own identity is relegated to stage left.

New Monarchy, Empire Underground, Albany, 7pm

Sunny Day Real Estate – Tour 2025, Empire Live, Albany, 7:30pm

Rev Tor, Rustic Barn Pub, Troy, 8pm-11pm

Rev Tor is the ultimate Jam Band of the East Coast

Happy Hour with Monkey & the Crowbar at the Eleven (FREE show) Albany, 6pm-8pm

Monkey and the Crowbar have been playing for years in the Mohawk Valley and Capital Region. Their acoustic vibe of originals and Grateful Dead adjacent tunes makes for a hoot of a time. Fronted by Todd Herringshaw(guitar, vocals), band members Tree Casullo(percussion, vocals), Joe Sinchak(fiddle, mandolin, vocals) and Sharon Charles(bass) give an old-timey spin to tunes we all know and love.

Capella Grey w/ Hundo, DTB, Crown King Miek, King Bully, Putnam Place, Saratoga Springs, 10pm-3am

Capella Grey is hosting a party at Putnam Place! Pop out for a night of drinks, beats and performances by Capella Grey, Hundo, DTB, and Crown King Meik, plus music by King Bully.

The Mayor of Uptown, the vibe curator, the waviest to ever exist. Capella Grey, the singer / songwriter / producer from the Bronx, NYC, pulls inspiration from both his Jamaican heritage and Uptown upbringing to create the perfect blend of Hip Hop, R&B and Dancehall, with infectious sing-along melodies and a bop that uplifts the energy in every room. From “Gyalis”, his self-produced introduction to the game to “Baechester”, his (also self-produced) upbeat ode to his hometown, to countless feature appearances industry-wide, Grey has cemented himself as a crucial thread in the fabric of outside music.

Annie & The Hedonists Album Release Concert, Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs, 8pm-10pm

Caffè Lena favorites Annie & the Hedonists return to celebrate the release of their brand new album, Live at Caffè Lena—a dynamic collection of blues, vintage jazz, and Americana recorded right here at Lena’s and produced by Oscar-winning, seven-time Grammy-winning engineer Joel Moss.

This soulful Saratoga-based band blends the spirit of swing-era jazz with the storytelling traditions of folk and roots music. With Annie Rosen’s captivating vocals, the masterful musicianship of Jonny Rosen (guitar), Peter Davis (clarinet, piano), Don Young (bass), and renowned drummer Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel, Indigo Girls), the band transforms every performance into a journey through musical history.

Doctor Baker | Saucer, Hangar on the Hudson, Troy, 8pm-11pm

Doctor Baker started out as an acoustic duo featuring singer-songwriter Ed Schwarzschild and guitarist Iggy Calabria, two wayward Philadelphians who met in Albany, NY. After adding Danny Goodwin on drums and Chris Gockley on bass, Doctor Baker sounds a lot louder, and the band’s strong, sound medicine has been mentioned in The New Yorker, nominated for an EDDIES alt/indie artist of the year, and led to sweet gigs in Philly, NYC, and elsewhere. But the main goal always remains the same: Doctor Baker works to heal audiences in the Capital Region and beyond. Come on out and help celebrate their brand new album, NOT/WITHSTANDING!
