This is Jesse Sample. We all know what it means to fall into a mental rut. Things that used to be exciting somehow don’t feel so rich. You stay up in your head and you take things for granted. I don’t know about you, but in these times, I feel a lack of perspective. I’m in too deep and I’m missing the view

But sometimes the universe sends you a sign. Perhaps it’s an exceptional storm where we get to feel how small we are among seen and unseen forces. Sometimes nature shows you how violent she can be, and you snap out of it. This thing we call “our life” is extremely fragile. We don’t know when it will end, but it will end.

With a refreshed perspective, we feel compelled to live deeper, smell the roses, and take all in. We may be inspired to take our time when kissing our spouses and banish our phones from the room and just be present.
