Aerosmith

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry had a conversation Eddie Host on Sirius XM’s Trunk Nation, and the prospect of a last show, or a return of Aerosmith, despite the vocal damage singer Steven Tyler has suffered. Perry had this to say:

“We’re talking about it. I mean, except for like, anything on the calendar, we’re all alive and well, so, you know, we’ll just have to see, you know? I know there’s gotta be at least another Aerosmith gig, and I’m not looking forward to putting the set list together for that one, but I don’t know, man. We’ll just have to see.”

He added: “You know, I’ve always played, like every show’s the last one, I hate to sound like it’s a downer, but, you know, I give it up every night, you know? And I don’t know, you know, it was certainly, the first gig we did for that tour, that got canceled, we certainly felt like it was gonna be another one, but, you know shit happens.”

Foo Fighters

Alongside Foo Fighters 30th Anniversary of their 1995 self-titled debut album, they will be releasing a new single, called “Today’s Song.”  According to the press release, the song has themes of “personal evolution and perseverance in the face of life’s uncertainty and the passage of time.” About Foo Fighters, frontman Dave Grohl had this to say: “Over the years, we’ve had moments of unbridled joy, and moments of devastating heartbreak. Moments of beautiful victory, and moments of painful defeat. We have mended broken bones and broken hearts. But we have followed this road together, with each other, for each other, no matter what. Because in life, you just can’t go it alone.

It should go without saying that without the boundless energy of William Goldsmith, the seasoned wisdom of Franz Stahl, and the thunderous wizardry of Josh Freese, this story would be incomplete, so we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the time, music, and memories that we shared with each of them over the years. Thank you, gentlemen.

And… Your name is spoken every day, sometimes with tears, sometimes with a smile, but you are still in everything we do, everywhere we go, forever. The enormity of your beautiful soul is only rivaled by the infinite longing we feel in your absence. We all miss you beyond words. Foo Fighters will forever include Taylor Hawkins in every note that we play, until we do finally reach our destination.”
