Rocky’s Music Studio and DDrum present: An Afternoon with Corky Laing!

On Saturday, October 28th, legendary drummer, Corky Laing (Mountain, West, Bruce and Laing, solo) will be presenting an informal afternoon of stories, drumming and, yes, COWBELL. Hosting the event is Modern Drummer contributing writer, Bob Girouard who will conduct an informal, Modern Drummer style interview and MC the event. Audience members will have a chance to ask questions following Bob’s interview.
There will also be a performance with Corky and some students from Rocky’s Music Studio. Capping off the afternoon will be a Meet & Greet with Corky. Corky will have books, CDs and merchandise for sale (a portion of the proceeds will be donated to our annual Make-A-Wish fundraiser).
Co-hosting the event is Corky’s sponsor, DDrum and they have supplied us with door prizes and a beautiful 13X7 snare drum to raffle off. Rocky’s Music Studio and Corky himself will also donate some door prizes and raffle items.
Seating is strictly limited to 40 seats and 10 SRO. Tickets are $10 in advance, and, if available, $20 at the door. Email rpetro57@gmail.com for ticket information.
