Adirondack Independence Music Festival Returns to Lake George This Weekend with moe., Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Robert Randolph, and More
Lake George, NY – If you are looking to see some great live music this Labor Day Weekend, Adirondack Independence Music Festival is the place to be. Returning for its 10th year, the festival will once again take over Charles R. Wood Festival Commons in Lake George Village, Friday, August 29th thru Sunday, August 31, delivering three days of unforgettable performances.
Headlining this year’s festival for their 5th year, are Upstate New York jam icons moe., performing two full sets each night on Friday and Saturday, and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, who perform two sets on Sunday to close out the festival in their long-awaited return to Lake George.
Other highlights of the 2025 lineup include six-time Grammy-nominated slide-guitar master Robert Randolph, making his first return to Lake George since 2016, and the acclaimed Talking Heads tribute Start Making Sense with the Ocean Avenue Stompers Horns. Funk icon, and founding member of The Meters, George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners are also set to perform, as well as jam powerhouses Spafford, lespecial and Neighbor, and the soulful singer-songwriter Ryan Montbleau.
The 2025 lineup rounds out with performances over the weekend by Bumpin Uglies, LaMP (featuring Russ Lawton, Scott Metzger, Ray Paczkowski), bob. An Interpretation of Dylan (featuring Al Schnier & Vinnie Amico of moe.), Bearly Dead, Annie in the Water, The Big Takeover, Sicard Hollow, Creamery Station, Ghosts of Jupiter, Johnny Mullenax, Organ Fairchild, Leon Trout and Sly Fox and The Hustlers.
Hailed by American Songwriter for their “mind-bending musicality,” moe. is treasured for their mesmerizing musical synergy, unfettered showmanship, and smart, resonant songcraft. For over three decades, the band has corralled myriad musical forms on a truly original journey rich with crafty, clever songwriting and astonishing resourcefulness. Fueled by an impassioned fan base, moe. has spent much of their thirty-five years on the road, encompassing countless live performances marked by eclectic wit, deep friendship, and exploratory invention. Sunday’s headliner, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong is a high-energy funk-jam band known for their explosive live shows, infectious grooves, and psychedelic party vibes. Formed in 2009 in Baltimore, Maryland, the band—featuring Greg Ormont (vocals/guitar), Jeremy Schon (guitar), Ben Carrey (bass), and Alex “Gator” Petropulos (drums)—has built a devoted national following through relentless touring and festival appearances. Their new album, Feed the Fire, is scheduled to be released on October 3.
In addition to lots of great music, the festival will also feature a variety of food and craft vendors as well a great view of the Lake George fireworks on Saturday evening.
Music at the festival commons kicks off at 1pm on Friday and 12:00pm on Saturday and Sunday, running continuously across two side-by-side stages until 11pm each night. The event is open to attendees of all ages and children 12 and under are free (general admission).
