Caffe Lena – Week at a Glance
By Staff on January 26, 2026
Greetings – What are you going to sing as you swing that snow shovel later today? Just keep the rhythm steady and the lyrics flowing, and before you know it the driveway will be showing! As many have noted over the past few days, this is an important time to get to know your neighbors. A few minutes spent helping someone dig out can be the start of a neighborly friendship that helps everyone feel grounded and connected.
Speaking of neighbors, we’re flying our 518 Folk Flag this week. Julia Alsarraf, Kate McDonnell, Question Of the Century and Honeysuckle are all Capital District based. Why is there so much folk talent around here? I think it’s more than fair to say that Caffe Lena has something to do with that. This isn’t Nashville or Asheville—yet!–but the number of nationally touring artists deciding to make this area home is growing. I hope you’ll come enjoy some of that backyard talent with us at Lena’s this week.
See you at the show,
Sarah
