LIFT SERIES Returns Tomorrow!
TROY, NEW YORK: Te popular Lift Series returns tomorrow with bluegrass favorites The Millstone Rounders! These performances give you the unique opportunity to sit on the historic stage with the artists while they perform. Tickets are only $25 in advance! The Lift Concert Series presents performances of new, independent music featuring regional performers, curated by S & S Presents, local artists Sam Torres and Sophia Subbayya Vastek. Concerts are designed to last about an hour and, after the performance, concert-goers are encouraged to enjoy the rest of the evening at one of Troy’s many restaurants or breweries.

Featuring Oona Grady, James Gascoyne, Matt Griffin, Scott Hopkins, and Dylan Perrillo. The Millstone Rounders play and sing classic country, bluegrass, blues, and more in timeless style – completely acoustic around a single mic.

Laraaji
Laraaji is an American multi-instrumentalist specializing in piano, zither and mbira. His albums include the 1980 release Ambient 3: Day of Radiance, produced by Brian Eno as part of his Ambient series.

Julia Kent
Cellist and composer Julia Kent was born in Vancouver, Canada, and lives in New York City. She makes music using layered and processed cello, electronics, and found sounds, creating haunting and evocative soundscapes that range from hushed intimacy to cinematic expansiveness. She has released five solo records, the most recent being Temporal on UK label Leaf, and has toured throughout North America and Europe, including appearances at Primavera Sound, Mutek Montreal, Meltdown, and Unsound. She also composes for film, television, theatre, and dance, including award-winning film scores and music for productions at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, BAM Fishman Space in New York City, Ballett National theater Mannheim, and Balletto Teatro di Torino.

Blue Ranger
Blue Ranger is an Albany, NY-based soft-focus folk/indie-rock trio formed in 2015 by Joshua F. Marré, known for intimate songwriting and existential themes. Featuring brothers Josh and Evan Marré with Matt Griffin and Connor Armbruster, they blend intimate, autobiographical lyrics with experimental, “shaggy” folk-rock sounds.
