Schenectady, NY – Get ready for a night of hilarious, nonstop laughter as legendary comedian and actor Martin Lawrence brings his highly anticipated “Y’all Still Know What It Is!” Tour to the M&T Bank Center on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Lawrence’s appearance, his first headlining tour in over a decade, is presented by Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady in partnership with the M&T Bank Center management group, delivering one of the must-see comedy events of the summer.
Tickets go on sale this Thursday, May 21 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at mandtbankcenter.com.  Tickets start at $59 (plus fees) and are subject to change. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 8:00 p.m.
As one of the most influential comedians of his generation, Martin Lawrence has left an indelible mark on television, film, and stand-up comedy. A German-born American entertainer, Lawrence rose to prominence in the 1990s, becoming a leading force in Hollywood and a defining voice in comedy.
He is best known for his groundbreaking hit television series Martin, which ran from 1992 to 1997 and remains one of the most watched shows in syndication. The series helped pave the way for Black television and introduced some of the most iconic and beloved comedic characters in TV history.
Lawrence’s film career includes standout roles in House Party, Boomerang, and the blockbuster Bad Boys franchise, including Bad Boys for Life, which became the highest-grossing film of 2020. His extensive film credits also include Wild Hogs, Nothing to Lose, Blue Streak, Life, Big Momma’s House (1, 2 & 3), and A Thin Line Between Love and Hate.
Beginning his career in stand-up comedy in the Washington, D.C. area, Lawrence later moved to New York City, where he performed at the legendary Improv Theatre. His early success led to a breakthrough role in Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing, followed by appearances in films such as the House Party series and Boomerang. He also hosted HBO’s groundbreaking Def Comedy Jam, a show widely credited with transforming the comedy landscape.
Widely regarded as one of the most successful touring comedians of all time, Lawrence has entertained millions worldwide through his stand-up specials, including You So Crazy, Runteldat, and Doin’ Time in Hollywood. Now, for the first time in over a decade, he returns to the road with his headlining tour, bringing his signature humor to audiences across the country.
