The Capital Region band celebrates 16 years together with memento mori, a 12-track album spanning hard rock, blues and soul.
ALBANY, NY—September 25, 2026—The Capital Region’s original bluesy rock powerhouse, Sly Fox and the Hustlers, will release their third studio album, memento mori, on Saturday, September 26.While the band has continued performing live and releasing singles over the past several years, memento mori is their first full-length studio album since 2016. With a new lineup featuring some of the area’s standout musicians, Sly Fox and the Hustlers bring fresh energy to what they have built over the years. The new record pushes their signature high-energy rock into heavier, rawer territory while keeping the blues, soul and groove that have always been part of the band. The 12-song album moves from heavy, guitar-driven rock and bluesy grooves to slower, more reflective songs, showing different sides of the band across the record. The album also revisits three songs from earlier in the band’s history—“Forever Young,” “Rough Patch of Road” and “Revolution Bells”—with newly recorded versions. Previously released singles “Sky is Falling,” “Find Someone” and “The Witch” are also included on the album. “It feels amazing to finally release this album after working on it for so long,” says Sly Fox. “We really took our time to get the guitar tones and the overall sound right, and I think the finished product shows that the process was worth it. It’s definitely the thing I am most proud of. ”The album title also has a personal meaning for Fox. “During the making of this album, I did a deep dive into Stoicism, and memento mori comes from that journey.” memento mori was produced by Sly Fox and Tim Lynch and recorded at The Recording Company in Duanesburg, NY. The album was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music. memento mori will be available September 26 on major streaming platforms, with physical CDs and digital downloads available directly from the band at slyfoxandthehustlers.com.
