South Korean Blues Band Richiman and Groove Nice to Play The Linda in Albany, NY This SUNDAY 02/05/2023 w/s/g The George Fletcher Blues Band
Written by Staff on January 31, 2023
Hailing all the way from South Korea there is a blues band that has embraced the American blues style. “We are a blues band from South Korea that want to play the American style of blues. We
grew up in Korea but fell in love with American blues”. -Richiman and Groove Nice
The band started in 2018 and they were originally called The Richiman Trio. The group participated in an International Blues Challenge in 2019 representing The Korea Blues Society. After being exposed to the “real” American blues they wanted to create music that had more of a dance groove. After changing their bass player they also upgraded their sound and name to what it is today Richiman and Groove Nice. In 2022 the group re-entered into the International Blues Challenge in Memphis where they placed as a top 5 finalist!
The band now is touring to support their latest EP release entitled ‘Memphis Special One Take Live’ and they are currently here in the states. This Sunday February 5th at 3pm Richiman and Groove Nice will be headlining The Linda (WAMC’s Performing Arts Studio) in Albany, New York with special guests The George Fletcher Blues Band. This show is being produced by Sonny Speed of RadioRadioX.com Blues Beat (Airs Wednesdays at 7pm Eastern) and is Sponsored By: Capital Region Blues Network (CRBN).
NOTE: This is the ONLY NEW YORK SHOW on the tour for Richiman and Groove Nice!
