We at RadioRadioX.com thought it would be fun to ask all of our 2023 Listen Up Awards nominees a few fun questions. Again we congratulate everyone of you and we look forward to seeing you all back at next year’s award ceremony. -The Listen Up Team
RRX:  What’s more important, looking good or sounding good?

CG: Sounding good – but I do have a lot of fun picking out gigging clothes and personally feel that looking good helps elevate my energy during a performance.

RRX: How would you describe your sound, your overall image and what you are representing with your music?

CG: Folk, rock, americana with influences of growing up in the 90s and early 2000s – trying to write what feels true to me and hoping my music connects with others that find what I’m saying to feel true to them, too.

RRX: Where was your first show? Tell us a bit about it. Where was your last show and how different is it now from when you started?

CG: My very first solo acoustic show was in the Herkimer High School cafeteria, and my most recent full band performance was at Cohoes Music Hall. Huge difference in venue but grateful for anywhere that wants me to perform!

RRX: Which rockstar did you want to be as a kid?

CG: I didn’t necessarily want to be anyone in particular, but definitely looked up to singer songwriters from the 70s and the punk/emo bands of the early 2000s

RRX:  Who has the best wings in the Capital District? For non-meat eaters, who has the best broccoli?

CG: McGearys!

RRX:  UFOs, real or fake?
CG: The truth is out there.
