RRX: What’s more important, looking good or sounding good?
MG: You gotta look your best or you’re disrespecting your audience. Of
course, you can look great, but if you sound like crap, what’s the
point?
RRX: How would you describe your sound, your overall image and what you
are representing with your music?
MG: One all-American heartbroken wail!
RRX: Where was your first show? Tell us a bit about it. Where was your
last show and how different is it now from when you started?
MG: First Show – O’Lunny’s Irish Bar, NYC. I was a bartender there and I
hooked up with an all-female country band called Three Penny Opera. I
was scared and I don’t think I looked anywhere except at my feet as I
sang with them.
Last Show – Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Incredible room! I was still
scared, but I looked everybody in the eye and rocked it!
RRX: Which rockstar did you want to be as a kid?
MG: Any of The Temptations.
eaters, who has the best broccoli?
MG: I’m a carnivore, but I don’t eat wings in public.
RRX: UFOs, real or fake?
MG: Real. I’ve seen ’em.
