Between the Buried and Me at Empire Live (6/21/2023) Recap By: Jessie Whitney

Written by on June 23, 2023

Between the Buried and Me originated in North Carolina in the early 2000s. They were possibly the first band I ever saw. After moving to the area in 2007, I had the opportunity to see them multiple times. They served as my introduction to the world of metal. The first time I witnessed a mosh pit, I was initially scared and clueless about what was happening.
I had the pleasure of seeing them perform in Albany once again, and as expected, they delivered an incredible performance. Their melodic and exceptional talent shines through as a group. Currently on their 2023 Parallax II: Future Sequence Tour, they are playing their 2012 album of the same name in its entirety, accompanied by Thank You Scientist and Rivers of Nihil as supporting acts. Wednesday night at Empire Live, they attracted a massive crowd and undoubtedly lived up to the high expectations.
