Afterglow of Ragnarok

Brucc Dickinson of Iron Maiden has announced a new solo project, “Mandrake Root,” of which a solo single, “Afterglow of Ragnarok.” Has been released. In addition to adding Latin American dates to his tour. Included in the 7” vinyl for “Afterglow of Ragnarok” is an eight-page comic that sets the tone for the song, and for the project.

Included in the seven inch single is the original demo of “If Eternity Should Fail, first appearing in Iron Maiden’s 2015 album, The Book of Souls.

Jeremy Renner Determined After Recovery

Jeremy Renner, a.k.a. MCU’s Hawkeye, is renewed with vigor in the wake of a devastating snowplow accident that left him with 30 broken bones, a collapsed lung and a punctured liver. In January of this year, he was caught in a snowplow as he was trying to save his nephew. He lists a multitude of therapies he has tried to recover faster, but in his perspective, mental health was a focus. The experience has made him want to be a better person to himself, his family, and the world in general, “not to squander my life being spared.”

Slipknot Parts Ways with it’s Drummer

The band Slipknot announced on November 5th that they would be parting ways with drummer Jay Weinberg. The son of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s drummer Max Weinburg, Jay came into Slipknot in 2013 when original drummer Joey Jordison left for “personal reasons,” which turned out to be the neurological condition transverse myelitis. Jordison was sorely missed, and died in 2021.

Slipknot, in talking about Weinberg’s departure, spoke of evolving creatively. No specific reason for the change has been given, and Weinberg has not, as of this writing, made a statement about it.

Y&T Announces European Tour

California Rock Legends Y & T have announced their 50th Anniversary 2024 European tour, kicking off at the “Keep It True Rising Festiva;” in Wurzburg, Germany and including eleven stops in the Netherlands, France, Belgium and the United Kingdom.

Frontman Dave Meniketti recently came out about having prostate cancer, now in remission, which had caused Y & T to cancel tours.
