Sum 41

Sum 41’s forthcoming album, “Heaven :x: Hell” is a double LP that’s going to be released on March 29th. I will also be their final album. You can currently stream a single from that album, “Rise Up.” The video depicts a wild overnight airplane trip, with a cameo by Noodles of The Offspring as a rookie pilot.

The band is in top shape, despite the final album, as evidenced by the sound of that single. Sum 41 announced their retirement earlier this year.

The Double LP features a more punk album, “Heaven” along with a heavier album, “Hell,” to complete the double LP.

They basically created the records they wanted to conclude their 27-year career.

Olivia Rodrigo

Recently, Olivia Rodrigo did an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, drawing from deep cuts of her Grammy-winning sophomore album GUTS, which ended up being one of the best albums in 2023.

This wasn’t Rodrigo’s first Tiny Desk Concert. It was, however, her first time in the offices of NPR. The first concert was during the pandemic, and had to be done remotely. Interestingly, the first concert was held in an empty DMV office, which dovetailed nicely with her breakout SOUR ballad, “driver’s license.”

She began with an acoustic version of the song “love is embarrassing,” followed by “vampire” and “lacy,” performed with backup vocalists.

Rodrigo is going on a 75-date tour world tour for GUTS in February of 2024. Tickets for the tour are available now.
