Week Twenty-Seven: Jesse Sample’s Freak of the Week “Colonie Deli Boy”

I’ll never say no to an adventure in food and drink. But there is also a place for comfort food. You know what I’m talking about. That food you’ve known since you were a kid. My list of comfort foods is a broad one and that’s probably because I ate a lot as a kid. Lamborghini mercy! Jesse, He so hungry.

This week, I had the deli on my mind. The deli is a magical place, where there is a little of everything and you can window shop for every imaginable flavor. I filled in for a friend who had a job doing deliveries back in the day. They used to listen to Howard Stern all morning and it was a nice time. I got an employee meal once a shift. I tried a little of everything and a lot of somethings. They were never shy with the feta cheese and olives on a Greek salad. Oh…the memories.
