Week 30: Jesse Sample’s Freak of the Week “Good Day, Bad Mood”

This is Jesse Sample. Do you ever get off to a bad start? You know, a bad hair day? Nothing falls into place and you can’t seem to get your rhythm. Sometimes we put the wrong foot out and we try and fail to do the hokey pokey for the rest of the day. If so, you’re not alone.

On days like these, I try to find clues to what went wrong. After all, if you can find the problem, it may be possible to fix it. And what are we if not artists of the day to day. Practice makes perfect they say.

And then there is also the birds eye perspective…the big picture. Nobody close to me died or was injured. Everyone I know made it and maybe that’s what really matters. Big picture.

This week, I created a simple instrumental piece consisting of two guitar tracks. Sometimes, it’s just enough to connect the parts of you that got shook up on your bumpy ride. Some soothing chords and bluesy leads.
