Linkin Park

Iconic rock band Linkin Park has added to both their lineup and their repertoire. The band hadn’t toured since singer Chester Bennington’s suicide, but they have found a new singer, Dead Sara’s Emily Armstrong, to join vocalist Mike Shinoda, along with drummer Colin Brittain to replace original drummer Rob Bourdain.

This new lineup will be on a six date tour to promote their new album, “From Zero,” an allusion to the band’s precursor name, “Xero.”Mike Shinoda had this to say, “Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero. This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking. Sonically and emotionally, it is about past, present, and future—embracing our signature sound, but new and full of life. It was made with a deep appreciation for our new and longtime bandmates, our friends, our family, and our fans. We are proud of what Linkin Park has become over the years, and excited about the journey ahead.”

Weezer

Weezer is celebrating the 30th anniversary of “The Blue Album,” or their self-titled album with a reissue of that album – a big reissue. The Super Deluxe edition contains 4 12-inch LPs, a 10-inch EP, and one 7-inch, the reissue covers the original album, plus 36 previously unreleased tracks, covering practice sessions, early recordings, BBC recordings, and more.

Along with the reissue, Weezer is on tour with Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. starting in St. Paul, Minnesota and will conclude in the middle of October.
