Lee DeWyze returns to our stage with a new album. Some of you discovered his voice and songs when he won American Idol. His brand new album is impressive.

Greetings – These days you’ll see more bands on Lena’s stage than once was the case. But this week is all about the solo singer-songwriter. From the new voices of Wednesday’s Lena Go Round, to the proven (sold out) favorites on Friday and Saturday, the audience will be leaning in close to hear good lyrics, beautiful melodies and the intimacy of acoustic guitar.

Be sure to scroll down for the list of newly announced shows. There are a lot of them this week!

See you at the show,
Sarah

“Through the two-hour show I probably spent about one hour laughing and about one hour being utterly amazed.” -Saratoga Living Magazine
After a four-month run at Caffe Lena in 2024, magician Mills returns with an all-new show featuring jaw-dropping surprises, quick wit, and an unforgettable good time. Recommended for ages 14+

Curated and hosted by Capital Region comedian/songwriter Erin Harkes, this series spotlights 518 talent playing all-original songs “in the round.” The line up for January is Amélie, John Glenn, Drew Jacobs, and of course, Erin!

Since winning Season 9 of American Idol, DeWyze has cemented his reputation with soulful ballads performed on stage, and featured in over 100 TV shows, movies, and commercials. His new album, Gone For Days, captures small-town nostalgia and longing, earning #1 on iTunes Singer-Songwriter Charts.

Matt Lorenz, performing as The Suitcase Junket, makes boisterous blues rock from repurposed items—old suitcases, gas cans, and discarded treasures. Homesteading in rural Massachusetts, he merges self-reliance with expansive visions. His latest album, The End is New, is shaped by observations of a stressed planet, mixing hope, desperation, truth, and myth.

A kid-friendly duo from Northampton, MA, Annie Lynch Stevenson and Maggie Shar bring storytelling, singing, and hands-on music fun with guitar, banjo, shakers, and drums. Children (and their “grown-ups”!) will enjoy group singing, shakers, hand and stick drumming, bells, movement, dance, and more.

Usually seen fronting his powerhouse band, Montbleau’s intimate lyrics and spirited delivery create a whole different impact when stripped-down for a solo show. NPR’s Mountain Stage compares his “eloquent, soulful songwriting” to Bill Withers and James Taylor, while Relix hails his “poetic Americana.”
