One of the most enduring drummers from the U.S. is Shawn Duncan, a West Coast player
whose career began in the early 1980s behind the kit of Odin. Since then, his music career has
steadily by co-founding the megarock quartet DC4 with his brothers Jeff Duncan (vocalist &
guitarist, also of Armored Saint) and bassist Matt Duncan and former Dio guitarist Rowan
Robertson, and stints with BulletBoys and Killer Bee.

Lately, his impact on the drums is resonating on a global level by joining L.A. Guns as their
touring drummer and as the kitmaster for Social Disorder, a hard rockband created by Swedish
guitarist Anders La Rönnblom that features an international collective of rock musicians,
including Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns), David Stone (Rainbow), and Rudy Sarzo (Whitesnake, Ozzy
Osbourne).

Social Disorder released their sophomore album, Time To Rise to widespread acclaim via Pride
& Joy Music and was nominated for Studio Album of the Year by Rocknytt Priset in Sweden. And
L.A. Guns will be releasing their new album, Leopard Skin, on April 4 via Cleopatra Records.
In this interview Duncan talks about what it’s like to juggle all these drum responsibilities
and what the future holds.
