Caffe Lena – Week at a Glance

Greetings – Two musicians finding joy in harmony, and a packed house on a rainy night. These moments of humanity are a balm.

About those musicians: Sawyer Fredericks brought his friend, Girl Love, up on stage during Saturday’s soundcheck to practice a song they wrote together. The pleasure that poured out of them as they heard their voices blending and their truth landing was riveting. In the midst of a busy evening at my desk, I was reminded, once again, of what the emails and fundraising and meetings are ultimately for.

And that packed house? The listening room was sold out four nights in a row on Memorial Day weekend. We’re so glad that people wanted to come listen to songs together, feel memories well up, forget about their work and worries, and remember the simple pleasure of good songs and a six-string guitar.

We have another festival for you! Sunday, June 1, 10 AM to 5 PM on Beekman Street in Saratoga Springs. You can enjoy browsing the work of more than 60 local artisans, get a snack at one of the food trucks, and hear local musicians presented by Caffe Lena.  Full Schedule Here
