Eastbound Throwdown Coming to Salem, NY September 5th-6th

By on June 6, 2025

Eastbound Jesus and Guthrie Bell Productions announce the lineup for the 10th year of the Eastbound Throwdown.
The festival takes place September 5th and 6th at the Irwin Family Farm in Salem, NY. Along with a mix of both local and touring Americana, country and bluegrass acts, host band Eastbound Jesus will perform both nights. The lineup is made up of artists that have played the festival in previous years and have become fan favorites, and a handful of first-timers who will likely be unknown to many audience members. Along with releasing the lineup, Saturday day passes also go on sale today.
The Eastbound Throwdown’s first year in 2015 was a one day event at the Elk’s lodge in Greenwich, featuring five bands and welcoming a few hundred attendees. The following year, the festival moved to the Irwin Farm, expanded to two days with camping and had over a dozen acts. Since the event’s return after taking a year off in 2020, it has regularly seen well over a thousand attendees. Eastbound Jesus and Guthrie Bell Productions pride themselves on the positive and welcoming environment at the festival, it’s a great big party with people enjoying themselves well into the late night hours, but it’s also very family friendly. Children 15 and under get free admission.
When it comes to bands from the Capital Region, very few have been able to develop the type of community and following that Eastbound Jesus has. On both nights of the festival when EBJ hits the stage, and the hill is full of fans singing along with every word, it’s a special moment to be a part of. With so many people returning year after year, and the festival’s quaint size, for many it has truly become a weekend that feels like a family reunion. The festival is so thankful to have been able to build such a supportive and kind community of music fans, it’s because of them that this little festival is still going strong after ten years.
Tent camping is included with a weekend pass. All RVs and tow-behind campers require an RV pass (sold out). Food and drink is available on site from local vendors including the local Scout troop, and there is also a nice assortment of craft vendors ranging from jewelry to tie dye clothing.
