Caffe Lena – Week at a Glance

By on September 15, 2025

Greetings – September used to be a sleepy month in Saratoga. Locals called the days right after racing season “Tumbleweed Week.” Broadway was empty and lots of restaurant owners put out a Closed sign and caught up on sleep. Not no more! The town is hopping with all the vacationers who wanted to avoid the summer crowds, and folks are playing music at Lena’s day and night.

You’ll find local musicians of every age and walk of life sharing their latest works at Open Mic on Monday. Tuesday brings nostalgia as Rochmon takes us deep into a great CCR album. The “kind folk” will turn out for Will Evans on Thursday, and the jazz crowd will gather for Ari Hoenig on Friday. We still have a few seats for Crystal Bowersox on Sunday. In honor of Peace Week, Crystal will be joined on stage by local hero Maggie Fronk of Wellspring, Saratoga’s domestic violence shelter, for a candid, personal conversation instead of a regular intermission. Gluing all this together you’ll find people learning together, playing together, having fun and bringing a little light into the world. There’s a spot for you, and we’d love to see you.

See you at the show,
Sarah
