Richard Lovrich to host an afternoon showcase of the world’s best short films featuring guest attending filmmaker Spencer Sherry.

October 8, 2025) Asbury Shorts International, New York City’s longest running short film exhibition and touring showcase, reels into The GE Theatre at Proctors in Schenectady, New York on Sunday, October 26, 2025 to present their nationally recognized “44th Asbury Short Film Concert,” an afternoon of award winning shorts from the past and present. The first film blasts on to the screen at 2:00pm. Acclaimed photographer, art director and author Richard Lovrich will serve as guest host. Renowned independent filmmaker Spencer Sherry will be in attendance and the program will feature his award winning film: “Anomaly.: This special presentation of globally honored short films is co-presented by Proctors and Film Schenectady. This one day only short film showcase is strongly recommended for ages 16 and way above.
An Asbury short film “concert” combines internationally honored shorts from the past with current festival hits, providing the rare opportunity for audiences to view elite, world-class films on a real cinema screen, rather than YouTube, smart phones or computers. Academy Award nominated director Jason Reitman (“JUNO,” “Up in the Air,” “Thank You for Smoking,” “Young Adult” “Ghostbusters: Afterlife”) calls Asbury Shorts USA: “The best short film show I’ve ever experienced.” The fast-paced, highly entertaining showcase features the best in live action comedy, drama, documentary and animation all in one two-hour sitting.
